I had to take a second to reflect once I'd listened to this to decide whether I had enjoyed it, I then remembered I'd started the book at 8am in the car on the way to work and had finished it by 9pm that night.the TV hadn't gone on once.so it's safe to say I was pretty glued to it. As a visually impaired listener, the narrator really brought it to life in the mind as specially at the end, I felt I was there with The main character, throughout the whole story. I gave it a five star for everything because I felt the story it was good and handle a real situation in a compassionate way also the narrator was fantastic and displayed exactly the right emotions, overall I felt this book was very powerful and well worth the read. I am not going to say much but the book itself as I do not want to give anything away for future readers, although I am going to say is that I would highly recommend this book to anyone whether you are an adult or not, I know This book is officially meant for younger readers but I think adults can enjoy this book equally. I am going to start by saying what a fantastic book this was, the narrator Jason Isaacs really brought the book to life the way he betrayed the monster especially was excellent and his talent really shone through especially with this character. Amazing book, very powerful and emotional.
